Maharashtra Unveils Innovation City Near Mumbai Airport, Secures $96 Billion at WEF

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced the development of a state-of-the-art Innovation City near Mumbai airport to boost the start-up ecosystem. The project will see an investment of USD 11 billion from the Tata Group, offering a Plug-and-Play platform for emerging businesses. Emphasising renewable energy, the Chief Minister said Maharashtra aims to source 52 percent of its power from green energy in line with the International Solar Alliance.
Meanwhile, MMRDA secured USD 96 billion in investments at the World Economic Forum Summit in Davos, generating 9.6 lakh jobs.
