Rahul Gandhi started this padayatra from Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu on the 7th of last month (September). Following Tamil Nadu, this padayatra took place in Kerala for 19 days. Subsequently, the Congress march entered Karnataka on the 30th through Samrajnagar district's Kundalupet.

After that he went to the Christian church and mosque in Mysuru and prayed.
