There is no need to postpone the implementation of the Women's Quota Bill, according to Rahul Gandhi.

The Forecast 2 years ago Congress

On Saturday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said there was no explanation for the delay in implementing the women's reservation Bill, for which the BJP administration at the Centre is attempting to create excuses such as the upcoming Census and constituency delimitation. On the other hand, he said that the Central Government was unwilling to perform a caste census. At a convention of Congress workers here on Saturday, Gandhi stated that his party wants the women's quota to be implemented "today itself." He stated that a special session of Parliament was called to change India's name to Bharat, but when the BJP saw there was no popular support for this, the government introduced the Bill.

“"Women's reservation can be implemented in the Parliament and State Assemblies today, but the BJP government wants to postpone it for ten years," Mr. Gandhi remarked. 'A quota within a quota' He stated that the Congress had real concerns regarding the lack of a "quota within a quota" for OBC women, as well as the circumstances for Census and delimitation, but that the government was unwilling to respond. "The Prime Minister discusses OBCs 24 hours a day." "How can we give representation to the OBCs in proportion to their population without a caste census?" Gandhi said. In addition, he urged that the next Census include caste identity.

Gandhi said that his voice was silenced as soon as he began pushing the topic of caste census in Parliament. There were as many as 90 Secretaries running the Central government at the time, but just three of them belonged to the OBCs, he added, citing this as proof of the OBCs being marginalized. Alleging the existence of a tie between Gautam Adani and Modi, Gandhi advised party workers to bring the matter up with BJP workers, who, he claimed, would flee when confronted with the subject. Earlier, Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge lay the groundwork for the Pradesh Congress Committee's new headquarters.  Kharge, Ashok Gehlot, Govind Singh Dotasra, former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot, and CWC members Jitendra Singh and Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya all spoke during the conference.
