Odisha Introduces Four-Year Integrated B.Ed. Program for Class 12 Graduates
The Forecast 1 year ago Education
Odisha has taken a progressive step in education by allowing students to enroll in a four-year Integrated B.Ed. program immediately after completing Class 12. This initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and aims to accelerate teacher training while ensuring high-quality education.
Odisha’s Higher Education Minister, Suryabanshi Suraj, announced that eight out of 16 government-run teacher training institutes have partnered with nearby colleges to facilitate this program. By reducing the traditional five-year duration to four years, the initiative enables aspiring educators to kickstart their teaching careers earlier and contribute to the state's educational development.
