A review meeting on election preparedness was held at the Coimbatore District Police office on Wednesday to assess arrangements ahead of upcoming polls.
The meeting was chaired by Rahul Hegde, who is the Election Police Observer for Tiruppur district. Officials discussed key measures to ensure smooth and secure conduct of elections in the region.
During the meeting, Mr. Hegde reviewed preparedness in areas under the Coimbatore District Police that fall within the Avinashi and Udumalpet Assembly constituencies. These areas are located along the border with Tiruppur district, making coordination between districts important for election management.
The review focused on law and order arrangements, monitoring of sensitive locations, and readiness of police personnel. Officials also assessed coordination efforts between different units to handle any potential issues during the election period.
