Plantation of 8000 saplings Corporation Commissioner (Coimbatore)inaugurated
Coimbatore, Dec. 17: In Coimbatore Corporation Southern Zone Pillayarpuram area there was a center called Kurinchivanam. In that 8000 tree saplings were planted by district Collector G.S. Sameeran and Corporation Commissioner M. Pratap. The program was inaugurated by both of them along with Field Director and Conservator of Forest Anaimalai Tiger Reserve S. Ramasubramanian, District Forest Officer Ashok Kumar, Forester Madhukarai Sandhya.
A total of 8000 saplings of 200 types of trees including bamboo and teak are planted.
