Coimbatore, Dec. 13-Smart City project work is underway in the Coimbatore Racecourse area at an estimated cost of Rs 40.07 crore. Construction of decorative arches, parks, and cycle paths are in full swing in the area. A project is also being implemented to send the rainwater collected in the racecourse area into the ground. As a part of this project, a German technology rainwater harvesting structure has been constructed for a length of 990 meters from Project Road Junction to Toll Road Junction. Also, in order to save the rain water flowing on the roads in the race course area, the work of setting up rain water absorption tank structure under German technology in 25 places is currently in full swing.
