Congress MP Jothimani Urges Governor to Invite Vijay to Form Government

Jothimani, Member of Parliament from the Indian National Congress, has called on the Governor to invite TVK leader Vijay to form the government without delay.
In her statement, MP Jothimani said there is no requirement to prove majority at the Governor’s residence. She stressed that majority should be tested only on the floor of the Legislative Assembly, in line with Supreme Court rulings.
She also stated that the Governor should act promptly and extend an invitation to Vijay, who leads the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), to form the government. According to her, the constitutional process is clear on how such situations should be handled.
Jothimani further urged that political activities should not be carried out through the Governor’s office and called for immediate action.
The statement comes amid ongoing political developments in the state following the recent elections.
