Modi Highlights Energy Challenges While Launching Major Projects in Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the world is facing an energy crisis and described the present period as a challenging decade while addressing a public event in Surat, Gujarat. His remarks came during the inauguration of several large-scale development projects aimed at strengthening infrastructure and industrial growth.


At the event, the Prime Minister launched projects worth ₹18,800 crore across different sectors. These initiatives are expected to contribute to economic development, improve infrastructure, and support employment generation in the region.


In addition to the major infrastructure projects, Modi also inaugurated a pharmaceutical park project valued at ₹274.96 crore. The facility is expected to support the growth of the pharmaceutical sector and enhance industrial capabilities in the state. Officials said the project would help create new opportunities for businesses and strengthen Gujarat’s position as a key manufacturing hub.


During his address, the Prime Minister noted that rising energy-related challenges have affected countries across the world. He emphasized the importance of development, investment, and innovation in addressing future economic and industrial needs.


The launch of these projects reflects continued efforts to expand infrastructure and industrial capacity, while supporting long-term economic growth and development in Gujarat and across the country.
