Voting for the Gujarat Assembly will be held in two phases on December 1 and 5. Voting will be held in 89 constituencies during the first phase of elections on December 1 and in 99 constituencies during the second phase of elections on December 5.

Counting of votes will be held on December 8. In Gujarat, the BJP has been in power since 1995. This time it is down to the task of maintaining success. The Congress party is also struggling to capture power. Aam Aadmi Party led by Kejriwal is also contesting this election.

Ahead of the elections, various parties are engaged in intensive campaigning. In this situation, the Congress side is also planning to intensify the election campaign in Gujarat. As a part of it, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi is going to campaign in Gujarat today.

Accordingly, he will attend a rally at Panch Kagada, Surat district at around 2 pm. He will address a public meeting at Rajkot at 3 pm.

Rahul Gandhi is walking from Kanyakumari to Kashmir in the name of Indian Unity Yatra. Currently he is conducting Padayatra in Madhya Pradesh state. The walk has been postponed today due to campaigning in Gujarat today.

It is noteworthy that Rahul Gandhi did not campaign in the Himachal Pradesh assembly elections held earlier.
