In this case, it has been reported that the death toll from the seasonal cyclone that ravaged Africa has exceeded 300. Hundreds more are reported to be missing and search and rescue operations are ongoing.

Earlier, the Department of Disaster Management reported that the situation in southern Malawi was deteriorating. According to the report, the situation has worsened and countless areas are flooded.
