The Bengaluru City Traffic Police has made the traffic arrangements in and around the Field Marshal Manekshaw Parade Ground for Independence day celebrations .
According to an official release, due to security reasons, all invitees who are attending the parade are requested not to bring mobile phones, helmets, cameras, radios, umbrellas, and other equipment to the Parade Ground. All are requested to be seated one hour before as the Chief Minister of Karnataka will receive the salute around 9 a.m.
Media vehicles and O.B. vans will enter Parade Ground through Gate No. 3 and park their vehicles on eastern side of the Parade Ground.
The traffic will be diverted on August 15 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. from BRV Junction to Kamaraj Road Junction. (both directions) on Cubbon Road.
The city police have appealed to the members of general public to avail public transport to maximum extent due to shortage of parking place in and around Parade Ground, and to avoid congestion .
