India recorded its highest-ever Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections in April, reaching ₹2.43 lakh crore, according to official data.
This marks a significant increase of 8.7 percent compared to ₹2.23 lakh crore collected in April 2025. The rise in revenue reflects steady economic activity and improved tax compliance across sectors.
