PM Modi Inaugurates Projects Worth Over ₹2 Lakh Crore in Andhra Pradesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for projects exceeding ₹2 lakh crore in Andhra Pradesh from Visakhapatnam, marking a significant step towards the state’s development. Speaking at Andhra University Engineering College grounds, PM Modi highlighted the launch of green energy initiatives and major infrastructure projects, reinforcing his government’s commitment to the holistic growth of Andhra Pradesh.

PM Modi emphasized the vision of "Swarna-Andhra Pradesh 2047," aligning with the national goal of "Viksit Bharat 2047." He commended Andhra Pradesh's role as a hub for emerging technologies and pledged support to help the state achieve its dream of becoming a $2.5 trillion economy by 2047.

Key projects include the ₹1.85 lakh crore NTPC Green Hydrogen Hub at Pudimadaka, ₹4,593 crore road development initiatives, and ₹6,028 crore railway projects. The foundation stones were also laid for the ₹2,139 crore Krishnapatnam Industrial Park in Tirupati and a ₹1,877 crore Bulk Drug Park at Nakkapalli. The much-anticipated South Coast Railway Zone headquarters at Visakhapatnam was also inaugurated.

The PM dedicated road projects worth ₹3,044 crore and railway lines in the Rayalaseema region worth ₹5,718 crore. He noted that these initiatives would bolster industrial growth, generate employment, and unlock Andhra Pradesh’s potential in the blue economy. Accompanied by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan, the PM also held a roadshow in Visakhapatnam before addressing the public.
