India’s star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra secured a silver medal at the 2025 Janusz Kusociński Memorial meet in Chorzów, Poland. Braving tough weather, the two-time Olympic medallist delivered a best throw of 84.14 metres on his final attempt, marking his 22nd consecutive top-two finish since 2021. Germany’s Julian Weber clinched gold with an 86.12-metre throw, while Grenada’s Anderson Peters took bronze with 83.24 metres. Chopra continues his consistent form ahead of the Paris Olympics. His next outing is scheduled for June 24 at the prestigious Ostrava Golden Spike meeting in the Czech Republic.
