Southern Railway has announced the operation of a special superfast train from Chennai Egmore to Nagercoil in view of the upcoming legislative assembly elections.
According to the official statement, the train will depart from Chennai Egmore at 1:25 pm tomorrow. It is scheduled to pass through key stations including Tambaram, Villupuram, Tiruchirappalli, Madurai, and Virudhunagar before reaching its final destination.
The train is expected to arrive in Nagercoil at 2:30 am, providing an additional travel option for passengers during the election period. This initiative aims to manage the increased demand for transportation and ensure smoother travel for the public.
Officials stated that necessary arrangements have been made to facilitate passengers and maintain a timely schedule. The introduction of this special train is expected to ease travel congestion and support voters and travelers during the busy election season.
