The Indian Railways' 'Bharat Gaurav' plan launched India's first private train between Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) and Shirdi (Maharashtra).

The train departs Coimbatore North at 6 p.m. on June 14th and arrives in Shirdi at 7.25 a.m. on Thursday. After a one-day break, the train will resume its trip from Sai Nagar on Friday and arrive in Coimbatore North at 12 p.m. on Saturday. Before arriving in Shirdi, the train would stop in Tirupur, Erode, Salem Jolarpet, Bangaluru Yelahanka, Dharmavara, Mantralayam Road (5 hours delay), and Wadi.

According to an official announcement, the charges are comparable to standard Indian Railways train ticket prices and include unique VIP Darshan at Shirdi Sai Baba Temple. Housekeeping service providers will clean the utility areas at regular intervals, and caterers are adept in creating traditional vegetarian menus. According to the statement, there will be a Train Captain, a doctor, private security staff, and the Railway Police Force on board. Meanwhile, members of the Southern Railway Mazdoor Union organized a protest at the city railway station against the train services, which they alleged were part of the privatization of the sector.
