Delhi Unveils EV Policy 2026–2030 with Full Tax Waiver

Delhi Government has released the draft Electric Vehicle Policy 2026–2030 to accelerate clean mobility adoption. The policy grants 100 per cent exemption on road tax and registration fees for electric cars priced up to ₹30 lakh until March 31, 2030. With an allocation of ₹3,900 crore, the government aims to boost EV adoption across segments. Attractive purchase and scrappage incentives have been proposed for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers. Electric two-wheelers will receive incentives starting at ₹10,000 per kilowatt-hour for vehicles priced up to ₹2.25 lakh. Electric three-wheelers will get incentives ranging from ₹50,000 in the first year to ₹30,000 by the third year. Goods electric vehicles may receive incentives up to ₹1 lakh initially.
