At a high-level special event in the Security Council, UN on the International Food Security Crisis Principal Secretary Sneha Dubey spoke on behalf of India. As he spoke, conflicts, including the coronavirus pandemic and the ongoing war in Ukraine, have severely affected the lives of civilians, notably in developing countries. Due to this, the price of the energy sector and essential commodities, including fuel, has gone up. Along with this, it has caused disruption in the structure of the distribution of logistics products at an international level.
Efforts are being made by international countries in the South to ensure food security and eradicate hunger by 2030. In this context, conflicts will have serious consequences for the international economy unless a meaningful way forward is achieved at the diplomatic and diplomatic level.
Due to this, Dubey has informed us that the aforementioned international efforts will be derailed. At this meeting, Dubey said that India has provided thousands of metric tons of wheat, rice, grains, and pulses as food aid to our neighboring countries and various countries, including Africa. He also pointed to the records of India's aid to its allies amidst conflicts including the Corona pandemic and war.
