At the inaugural function of the "India Mobile Congress-2022" conference, Prime Minister Narendra Modi formally launched the 5G internet.
The 4-day conference of the Indian Mobile Congress is being held today at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. PM Modi also reviewed other technologies related to 5G at the Indian Mobile Congress.
The country's three largest telecom companies have arranged to showcase a prototype of 5G internet in front of Prime Minister Modi at the event.
He also oversaw technology in agriculture through 5G-based drones, sewage monitoring systems, healthcare-related technology, and artificial intelligence-based platforms for cyber security.
First, 5G service is rolling out only in select cities. It seems that it will be rolled out gradually across the country within 2 years. 5G service will help download videos at many times the speed of 4G service.
