Chennai,

A recent study revealed that 22 lakh IT workers are likely to leave their jobs in India by 2025.

In this regard, a research report titled 'Talent Exodus' published by Teamlease Digital revealed that 57 percent of IT professionals are not interested in returning to the IT sector in the future.

The number of contract workers is also projected to grow to 55 percent in FY 2023, compared to 49 percent in FY 2022. The study revealed that 20 lakh to 22 lakh IT workers are expected to leave the workforce by 2025 even as employee pay increases improve performance and increase job satisfaction

Also, the study suggests that the main reason for the decline in the IT services sector in 2021 will be new companies increasing their workforce. As IT companies are facing loss of revenue, the report states that the best employees of the companies are voluntarily leaving in large numbers
