Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav attended a foundation laying ceremony for a coach maintenance factory at the Aurangabad city railway station in Maharashtra.
Speaking on the occasion, Indian Railways has decided to refurbish 200 railway stations in the country with modern facilities. He said that tender allotment procedures for carrying out works at 47 railway stations have been completed.
He also said that reconstruction works have been started in 32 railway stations. He also said that according to the government's plan, world class facilities including waiting rooms, canteens and entertainment facilities for children will be set up.
