UK supports India's permanent membership in the UN Security Council.
A consultation meeting regarding the UN Security Council review was held yesterday. Various changes were discussed in it.
Speaking at a debate on the UN Security Council review, British Ambassador to the UN Barbara Woodward said that India, Germany, Brazil, Japan and Africa should be represented and the UN Security Council should be expanded and changed to provide permanent membership status to those countries.
