Kailash Choudhary, Minister for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare of India, was met in Delhi today (9.8.23) by Tirupur West District Amma Paravai Secretary and Tirupur Land Resource Bank President Putharachal Babu met in person and said that the price of coconut has fallen in Tamil Nadu in the last few months, they demanded to ban the import of palm oil and to get a suitable price for coconuts. Later, the Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister said, " As soon as possible I will take good decisions and I'll take right steps to get the best rate of coconuts." Thus he said.
Following this, a petition was submitted to Kailash Choudhary the Minister for Agriculture in New Delhi on behalf of the farmers of Tamil Nadu to change the 100-day work program to agricultural work, and Farmers to have the right to determine the price of they produce, and to implement the Anamalai Nallaru Project.
