HIV or AIDS awareness campaign was conducted by TANSACS to Create a HIV free World

With Elaborate arrangements by the district administration, for the “Red Run” campaign to bring awareness on HIV/AIDS a Youth Fest 2023 was conducted by TANSACS on 23rd September 2023. The State Level Red Run Marathon took place at 6 am in Island Ground, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, in the presence of Minister for Health and Family Welfare, M. Subramaniam. The programe presided over by the Project Director T.N.Hariharan I.A.S.,. And the Chief guest and audience were also welcomed by him and the event commenced with the Health Minister after waved the flag.

The main motto of the TANSACS is , to create an awareness about AIDS among adolescents and Youth and to create a HIV free world. The District level selections took place in 32 Districts headed by the District collectors. With enthusiastic participants of Youth Fest 2023, almost 400 selected candidates from various catagories were participated in state level Red Run Marathon. T-shirt, cool drinks, water bottles, breakfast, certificate, medals and cash prize was given to encourage the participants. The National AIDS Control organization has planned to conduct the national level Marathon in Goa on 8th Oct 2023. In this event many higher officials from TANSACS were present

An awareness like this among the people who are not aware, it's an vital effort to stop the spreading of HIV/AIDS infection. Also Educating the importance of toll-free number 1907 for medical assistance in society was more important. Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society ( TANSACS ) warmly wished the participant in social media as, " Congratulations to the Red Run Marathon winners and volunteers for a successful Run to END AIDS."
