In a significant move aimed at uplifting farmers, farm laborers, and families below the poverty line (BPL), the Telangana State Government has launched four new welfare schemes. Ministers and public representatives formally inaugurated these schemes yesterday in villages across various blocks of the state. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, while launching the initiatives at Chandravancha village in Kosgi Mandal, Narayanpet district, criticized the previous BRS government for failing to issue ration cards to poor families during its decade-long rule. He announced that the current government has decided to issue ration cards to 40 lakh new families, ensuring the distribution of fine rice to all beneficiaries. Highlighting the recent Grama Sabhas, the Chief Minister emphasized the government's commitment to grassroots governance by making officials accountable to the people and bringing administration closer to the villages.
