Telangana CM Revanth Reddy met with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Cabinet expansion.

The Forecast 1 year ago Telangana

With the Congress High Command giving a green signal to the list of prospective ministers, the expansion of the Telangana State Cabinet headed by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is likely to take place in a day or two, say those in the know. Revanth Reddy went to New Delhi with a list of ministers who are likely to join the cabinet.

On the other hand, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will also reach Delhi and meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is a coincidence that there are two Telugu-speaking chief ministers in the national capital. However, the two will meet in Hyderabad this week to resolve the pending issues between Telangana and Remnant Andhra Pradesh.

Revanth Reddy met All India Congress Committee president Mallikarjun Kharge on cabinet expansion.

“In all likelihood, the names of ministers who will enter the cabinet will be finalised. A party leader said the chief minister, who met state governor CP Radhakrishnan, had already indicated to him that the cabinet expansion could take place this weekend.

At present, the state cabinet has 11 members including the chief minister and there is scope for inducting six more ministers. “The vacancies have been lying vacant since December 7 when the Congress government was formed in Telangana. For now, Revanth Reddy can induct four ministers and leave two more berths vacant for future expansion,” the leader said.
