Telangana Tourism Minister announced plans to make the state a destination wedding hub

Telangana Tourism Minister J. Krishna Rao on July 3, 2024 announced plans to turn the state known for its natural beauty into a destination wedding hub. Speaking at a media conference organized in Hyderabad, the Minister said that areas like Somasila, Ramappa, Laknavaram Nagarjuna Sagar, Anantgiri Hills will be developed as destination wedding hubs. A draft policy will be announced soon to develop the tourism sector in the state.
Steps will be taken to develop eco-tourism, temple tourism and medical tourism in the state. Resorts are developed at Anantgiri hills for wellness tourism. He promised that tourism has been neglected in the last ten years and that in the next six months, progress will be made in the tourism sector.
