India is set to host important Foreign Ministers-level meetings of the BRICS and the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue in May, according to official sources.
The BRICS meeting will bring together top diplomats from member countries and is expected to gain global attention. Notably, it will mark the first face-to-face interaction between officials from Iran and the United Arab Emirates since tensions escalated following the U.S.-Israel strikes on Iran on February 28, 2026.
Diplomatic sources have also confirmed that India is preparing to host the Quad Foreign Ministers meeting in the last week of May. The Quad includes India, the United States, Japan, and Australia, and focuses on regional cooperation and security.
The announcement comes shortly after U.S. Ambassador Sergio Gor stated that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is expected to visit India next month.
These high-level meetings highlight India’s growing role in global diplomacy and international cooperation.
