A new Indian Red Cross Diagnostic Centre was inaugurated in Visakhapatnam, aiming to provide affordable and advanced medical services to the public.
Health Minister Y. Satya Kumar Yadav inaugurated the state-of-the-art facility near Zilla Parishad Junction on Sunday. After the launch, the Minister visited the centre along with doctors and reviewed the diagnostic equipment and patient amenities available.
Speaking at the event, the Minister said the government is focused on making quality healthcare accessible to poor and middle-class people at reasonable costs. He noted that advanced diagnostic services often remain out of reach for many, and this centre is expected to bridge that gap.
He also highlighted the role of the Indian Red Cross Society in saving lives through its blood donation services. The addition of modern diagnostic facilities, he said, will further strengthen healthcare support for the community.
The centre is equipped with updated technology to provide various medical tests at lower prices.
The initiative marks a significant step toward improving affordable healthcare access and supporting better medical outcomes for the public.
