India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri held meetings with senior U.S. officials in Washington to review defence and trade relations and discuss regional developments.
During his three-day visit to the United States, Mr. Misri met key officials from the Department of Defence and the Department of Commerce. His discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and exploring ways to deepen engagement between the two countries.
At the Department of Defence, he met Under Secretaries Michael Duffey and Elbridge Colby. In the Department of Commerce, he held talks with Under Secretaries Jeffrey Kessler and William Kimmitt.
The meetings also included discussions on developments in the Indo-Pacific region and West Asia, reflecting shared concerns and strategic interests.
India’s Ambassador to the United States, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, was also present during the visit.
The talks underline ongoing efforts by both countries to strengthen their partnership across key sectors.
