A complete round pot has been unearthed during the ongoing 11th phase of excavations at the Keeladi archaeological site, adding another important discovery to the ancient settlement’s growing historical record. Officials involved in the excavation confirmed that the artifact was found in good condition during recent digging activities.

Researchers also stated that brick structures have been continuously discovered in all seven excavation trenches opened during the current phase. The repeated presence of brick formations indicates that the site once had well-planned construction activities and an organized settlement pattern.

Keeladi, located in Tamil Nadu, has attracted national and international attention for its findings linked to the ancient Tamil civilization. Earlier excavation phases have already revealed pottery, structures, tools, and other cultural artifacts that provide insights into the lifestyle and urban practices of the people who lived there centuries ago.

Archaeologists believe the latest discoveries will further support ongoing research into the region’s historical and cultural importance. Excavation work at the site is continuing, with officials expecting more valuable findings in the coming weeks.
