The Tamil Nadu government has announced a major reshuffle in the state police department, appointing senior IPS officers to key administrative and law enforcement positions. The latest changes are part of a broader effort to strengthen police administration and improve departmental coordination across the state.
Arun IPS has been appointed as the Director of the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Department. He was earlier placed on the waiting list before receiving the new assignment. The department plays an important role in handling corruption-related investigations and monitoring public administration practices.
At the same time, D.S. Anbu IPS has taken charge as Additional Director General of Police for Law and Order. The position is considered one of the most significant roles in the state police administration, overseeing public safety and security operations.
Maheshwar Dayal IPS, who previously served as Law and Order ADGP, has now been appointed as Administrative ADGP under the latest reshuffle announced by the state government.
Officials said the changes were made as part of regular administrative procedures aimed at improving operational efficiency within the police department. The appointments are expected to support smoother coordination and stronger administration across various police divisions in Tamil Nadu.
