At Theni district World vision India NGO and Canara bank RSETI rural self employment training institute jointly conducted program on honey bee growing and healthy honey marketing at kadamalaikundu area. 35 women from Melapatti village in Kadamalaikundu Panchayat received 10 days Training for Apiculture (Bee-keeping) from Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Theni. Subsequently 20 women members from the trainees formed a group and mobilized resources locally as well as in touch with banks and launched a project called “Vision Honey” and now they are in the process of coming up as a entrepreneurs.
