Tamil Nadu Transfers Over 30 IAS Officers in Major Administrative Reshuffle

The Tamil Nadu government has ordered a major administrative reshuffle, transferring more than 30 IAS officers across various departments. The move is part of the state's ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and improve administrative efficiency.


According to the government order, several senior officers have been assigned new responsibilities in key departments. Sundaravalli (IAS), who was serving as Commissioner of Higher Education, has been transferred and appointed as Special Secretary in the Public Health and Rehabilitation Department.


Lalitha (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary, Expenditure, in the Finance Department. The government has also appointed Kamal Kishore (IAS) and Prasanth (IAS) as Joint Secretaries in their respective departments as part of the latest changes.


In another significant appointment, Azhagu Meena (IAS) has been posted as Deputy Secretary in the Health and Family Welfare Department. The reshuffle includes changes across multiple sectors, reflecting the government's focus on administrative coordination and effective public service delivery.


Officials stated that the transfers were made to meet administrative requirements and ensure smooth functioning of various departments. The latest reshuffle marks one of the major bureaucratic changes undertaken by the state government in recent months, reinforcing its efforts to streamline administration and governance.
