Supreme Court Questions NTA Over NEET Paper Leak Case

Janani G 2 hours ago Education

The Supreme Court has strongly questioned the National Testing Agency (NTA) over issues related to the NEET examination paper leak case. During the hearing, the court expressed concern about the impact such incidents have on students and their families across the country.

The bench observed that the matter goes beyond the interests of a single student and affects the hopes, emotions, and years of hard work invested by entire families. The court emphasized that young people should not be let down by failures in the examination system.

While reviewing the case, the Supreme Court also raised questions about the effectiveness of examination security measures. The judges pointed out that large-scale irregularities are not commonly reported in examinations conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and asked why similar standards could not be maintained for NEET.

The observations came during proceedings related to allegations of question paper leaks and examination irregularities. The court stressed the importance of maintaining transparency, fairness, and credibility in national-level entrance examinations.

The hearing has once again highlighted the need for strong safeguards to protect the integrity of competitive examinations and ensure confidence among students and their families.
