CM Stalin Urges PM Modi to Address LPG Shortage, Ensure Safety of Tamils Abroad

M. K. Stalin on Tuesday (10/03/26) urged Narendra Modi to make necessary alternative arrangements in response to the ongoing shortage of Liquefied Petroleum Gas cylinders.

Stalin chaired a meeting at the State Secretariat in Chennai on March 10, 2026, to review the possible impact of the conflict between the United States and Iran on Tamil Nadu. Officials discussed potential challenges and response measures to address the situation.

The Chief Minister also wrote to the Prime Minister requesting immediate steps to manage the LPG shortage and ensure regular supply in the State.

In a message shared on social media, Stalin urged the Union government to ensure the safety of Tamils living in Gulf countries affected by the conflict. He also requested support to safeguard the welfare of Tamil Nadu fishermen currently stranded in the region.

Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation and take steps to address emerging concerns.
