Postal Voting Dates Revised for Police Personnel in Chennai

The Forecast 2 weeks ago Tamil Nadu

The dates for postal voting for police personnel in Chennai have been revised, according to an official circular issued by the city police.

Earlier, the postal voting process was scheduled to take place on April 17 and 18. However, the dates have now been changed to April 18 and 20. The revision has been communicated to all concerned departments to ensure smooth coordination.

Postal voting is an important facility provided to police personnel, as they are often deployed on election duty and may not be able to cast their votes in person on polling day.

Officials also stated that around 18,000 police personnel have already been sent applications for postal voting. Authorities have instructed officials to complete the process quickly and efficiently.

Necessary arrangements are being made to ensure that all eligible personnel are able to participate in the voting process without difficulty.

The change in schedule is aimed at improving coordination and ensuring wider participation among police personnel.

This step highlights efforts to ensure that all eligible voters can exercise their democratic rights without disruption.
