The Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued important instructions to ensure smooth conduct of elections in Tamil Nadu.
Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar held a review meeting with 326 central election observers appointed for the state. During the meeting, officials were directed to take all necessary steps to ensure that the elections are conducted in a free and transparent manner.
The Commission emphasized the strict implementation of the Model Code of Conduct across all regions. Observers were instructed to closely monitor election activities and ensure that rules are followed without any violations.
In addition, officials have been asked to send voter turnout data every two hours during polling. This measure is aimed at maintaining accurate and timely updates throughout the election process.
The meeting also focused on coordination between different teams to ensure efficient management of polling activities.
These directions highlight the Commission’s efforts to uphold fairness and transparency in the electoral process, ensuring that voters can participate with confidence.
