Private schools across Tamil Nadu have been instructed to publicly display their fee structures on school notice boards as part of a move to improve transparency for students and parents. The directive has been issued by the Director of Private Schools ahead of the reopening of educational institutions after the summer vacation.
According to the order, all private schools must clearly exhibit details of the fees being collected from students. The objective is to ensure that parents have easy access to accurate information regarding school charges and related expenses before the new academic term begins.
School administrations have also been directed to provide proof of compliance. Institutions must take photographs of the displayed fee information and submit them to the respective District Education Officers responsible for private schools. This measure is intended to help authorities verify that the instructions have been implemented properly.
The announcement comes as schools across Tamil Nadu are scheduled to reopen on June 4 following the summer break. Education officials expect the move to improve accountability and ensure that fee-related information is made available in a clear and accessible manner.
The directive reflects ongoing efforts to promote transparency in school administration and support informed decision-making for parents and students across the state.
