India Successfully Tests Indigenous RudraM-II Missile

Janani G 13 hours ago National News

India has achieved another milestone in defence technology with the successful test of the indigenously developed RudraM-II anti-radiation missile. The Defence Research and Development Organisation conducted the trial to validate the missile’s performance, accuracy, and operational capabilities.

The missile was launched from a Su-30MKI fighter aircraft and successfully followed its planned flight path before striking the designated target with high precision. Officials stated that all key mission objectives were achieved during the test, confirming the effectiveness of the weapon system.

RudraM-II has been designed to target and destroy enemy radar installations, communication networks, and other electronic systems that play a critical role in air defence operations. By neutralising such assets, the missile can help create a safer operational environment for friendly aircraft during military missions.

The successful test is also significant because the missile has been developed within the country, highlighting ongoing efforts to strengthen indigenous defence manufacturing and technological capabilities. The achievement adds to India's growing portfolio of advanced military systems designed and produced through domestic research and development.

Defence experts view the successful trial as an important step in enhancing the operational readiness of the armed forces. The achievement further demonstrates India’s continued progress in developing advanced defence technologies and strengthening its strategic capabilities.
