Tamil Nadu makes permission mandatory for CBI to probe cases in the state

The Tamil Nadu government on Wednesday withdrew general consent given to CBI, ANI reported. The CBI will now need to get permission from Tamil Nadu government to investigate in the state. West Bengal, Rajasthan, Kerala, Mizoram, Punjab and Telangana are some of the states which have withdrawn general consent to the CBI, the Tamil Nadu Home Department said.
