The Transport and Road Safety Commissioner's website is now completely in Tamil

The website of Transport and Road Safety Commissioner has been formally translated into Tamil. launched by Minister of Youth Welfare and Sports Development. Udayanidhi Stalin

In accordance with the decree of the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu that the websites of all government departments in the state should be translated not only in English but also in Tamil, the website of the Commissioner of Transport and Road Safety has been formally prepared in Tamil and is now available for public use.

In 91 district transport offices and 54 vehicle traffic inspector offices across the state, efforts are being made to computerize all 48 services and get them online so that the public can get their services without any difficulty.

In the initial phase, the following 6 services have already been brought online and are operational.

1. Hypothecation Addition

2. Transfer of ownership

3. Issue of Learners License

4. Renewal of DL

5. Change of Address in DL

6. Surrender of COVs in DL

Further, following the announcement made by the Minister of Transport in the budget session of 2023-24 that 42 services will be brought online, activities are being carried out by the department.

As a part of it (14.07.2023) following 25 services will be brought online

2. Issue of Duplicate Driving License (DL)

3. Replacement of Driving License.

4. Change of Name in Driving License.

5. Driving License Extract provisioning.

6. Issue of International Driving Permit.

7. Endorsement to Drive Hazardous Material.

8. Renewal of Conductor License.

9. Application for Temporary Registration of motor vehicle.

10. Application for Registration of motor vehicle with fully built body.

11. Application for issue of duplicate Certificate of Registration (RC).

12. Application for Grant of No Objection Certificate (NOC) for Certificate of Registration.

13. Change in Address in Certificate of Registration.

14. View Registration Certificate (RC) particulars against fee.

15. Termination of hire-purchase agreement.

16. Issue of Fresh Permit.

17. Issue of Duplicate Permit.

18. Permanent Surrender of Permit.

19. Transfer of Permit.

20. Transfer of Permit (Death Case).

21. Renewal of Permit.

22. Renewal of Permit Authorisation.

23. Application for Special Permit

24. Update Mobile Number in record for transport services.

25. Issue of Duplicate Fitness certificate.

Also, the National Informatics Center is taking steps to bring the following 17 remaining services online. These works will also be completed soon

Through the above measures, provision has been made to speed up the services provided to the people in regional transport offices and vehicle traffic inspector offices.
