The Tamil Nadu government has found 1.06 crore women who will receive benefits from the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai (women's basic income) program. The leader of the state, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, is going to start a new program in a place called Kancheepuram on September 15th. This program is being started on the birthday of a former leader named C.N. Annadurai. The Chief Minister had a meeting to talk about how they are getting ready for this program. He said that they got a lot of applications, and they picked out a certain number of them. He also said that they have made plans to give money to the women who are eligible for the program. The money will be put into their bank accounts starting on September 15th, and they will get it every month after that. At first, only some people were given ATM cards. Later, everyone got them. But even if someone didn't have a card, they would still get their money right away. The people who were supposed to get the money shouldn't have any trouble taking it out. The Tamil Nadu government said they would set aside ₹7,000 crore for a special plan, but it might actually cost more. The Chief Minister later said they would give ₹12,000 crore every year for this plan. A very important person said that the amount of money, which is ₹12,000 crore, will not be given for this year because some months have already gone by before the scheme officially started on September 15. The Chief Minister will send a message to the people who will benefit from something on September 15. The message will also include information on what to do if there are any problems.
