Portal enabling consumers in village panchayats to pay taxes online : Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Chief Secretary Shiv Das Meena I.A.S.,

M.K. Stalin, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, unveiled a webpage on Tuesday via which customers in village panchayats may pay their home tax, water costs, professional tax, and other dues online. According to an official press release, consumers may utilize the portal at vptax.tnrd.tn.gov.in to pay their dues using online banking, debit or credit card, or UPI. Owners of properties in village panchayats who live elsewhere are anticipated to gain from the portal.

Stalin also virtually inaugurated 1,000 new classrooms built in various places across the state as part of the Child Friendly School Infrastructure Development Programme, which cost Rs. 150 crore in total. He also inaugurated a portal for the Tamil Nadu Panchayat Accounts Simplified System, which is aimed to streamline the accounting of rural local authorities.

The Chief Minister also launched a portal through which candidates could apply for enrolling in diploma course offered by the Tamil Virtual Academy. Interested candidates could use tva.reg.payil.app to join the diploma course. Ministers I. Periasamy, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi and Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Chief Secretary Shiv Das Meena I.A.S., and Director of Rural Development , Panchayati Raj P. Ponniah IAS, and other senior officials were also present during these events at the Secretariat.
