A rare 13th-century “Aasiriyam” inscription has been discovered at Etticheri Kanmai in Cholapuram near Sivaganga, drawing the attention of historians and researchers. The inscription was found in the middle section of the water body and is considered an important addition to the historical records of Tamil Nadu.
