Ten new government arts and science colleges will be started at Thiruchuzhi in Virudhunagar district, Thirukovilur in Kallakurichi district, Talawadi in Erode district, Othanchatram in Dindigul district, Manoor in Nellai district, Tarapuram in Tirupur district, Ariyur in Dharmapuri district, Alangudi in Pudukottai district, Koothanallur in Tiruvarur district, Samgadu in Vellore district. During the higher education department's grant request for the year 2022-23, Trichy District Manaparai, Villupuram District Senchi, Krishnagiri District Thirumayam, Pudukottai District Thirumayam, Erode District Andiyur, Karur District Aravakurichi, Thanjavur District Thirukkatupalli, Dindigul District Redyarchatram, Cuddalore District Vadalur, Kancheepuram District Sriperumbudur. Accordingly, 20 new government arts and science colleges in temporary buildings with all facilities will be opened in the head office on the 7th (yesterday) through a video presentation by the Prime Minister in order to benefit the admission of students from the academic year 2022–2023. It was started by M.K. Stalin. On this occasion, Ministers Durai Murugan from the Chief Secretariat, K.N. Nehru, K. Ponmudi, M. P. Saminathan, Chief Secretary V. Iraianbu, IAS, and other high officials of the government attended.
