Sales of 'Neithal Salt' by Tamil Nadu Salt Company: Launched by Chief Minister

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin launched a relief scheme of Rs 5,000 per annum for the families of salt workers during the months of October to December when there is no salt production. He issued checks for relief to five workers.
The plan for this was announced in the industrial grant request for the years 2021–2022. This will benefit thousands of workers involved in the salt industry.
Neithal salt
In the industrial subsidy request for the years 2021–2022, it was announced that the Tamil Nadu Salt Corporation will sell iodized rock salt and iodized refined powdered salt under the new trade name "Neithal Uplu" in the open market. Accordingly, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin started the sale of iodized rock salt and iodized refined powdered salt in the open market under the new trade name of "Neithal Uplu" for the benefit of the public.
Ministers Thangam Tennarasu, CV Ganesan, Kanimozhi MP, Chief Secretary V.Iraianbu IAS, Additional Chief Secretary Industry, Investment Promotion and Commerce S.Krishnan, Labor Commissioner-Principal Secretary Atul Anand, and Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Salt Company were present on this occasion. Rasamani and senior government officials participated.
