75th Independence Day Today: Prime Minister M. K. Stalin hoists the tricolor flag

 The 75th Independence Day of our country is going to be celebrated with grandeur today (Monday). Tamil Nadu Government is celebrating Independence Day today at Chennai George Fort. After accepting the parade honors, Chief Minister M. K. Stalin hoists the national flag on the fort ramparts and pays his respects. Subsequently, Thakaisal honors the awardees by presenting various types of awards including the Tamil Award.

The Shining Capital

 On the occasion of the festival, more than one lakh policemen have been engaged in security work across Tamil Nadu. The police are making all necessary security arrangements to ensure that the Independence Day celebrations are conducted well so that no untoward incidents take place. All the important old buildings that herald the heritage of Chennai are decorated with colorful electric lights.

Apart from this, most of the places like the Chennai Secretariat, the Ribbon House Building in the Metropolitan Chennai Corporation Complex, the Chennai Central, Egmore Railway Station buildings are decorated with colored lights and the capital city is shining at night in an eye-catching way.

In most places, decorative lanterns are hung on roadside trees. The tricolor of the national flag lit up on most of the buildings is a sight to behold. The colorful lights are shining all around the main places of the city of Chennai, making the night bright. Many have lit up their homes with colorful lights. Some people are celebrating the 75th Independence Day by lighting their vehicles like autos and cars with lights.
