Minister of Water Resources at Chennai Secretariat , Under the leadership of Duraimurugan 27.10.2022 Athikadavu Avinasi Project construction and water supply to lakes in the Sarabanga watershed, Salem district. A review meeting was held on the grant scheme. The Athikadavu Avinasi project is currently 97% complete.Out of a total of 1065 km of pipeline work, approximately 1033 km have been completed. Due to heavy rains, there has recently been some delay in the completion of works in the Erode district.However, by the coming December 2022, all the work will be completed and tested It is intended to be operational by the end of January. Also, the Salem district supplies water to lakes in the Sarabanga watershed. So far, about 87 percent of the project has been completed. The remaining tasks are intended to be completed in the next 3 months.
